Water Fowl

We call them all ducks even though we know better. They are not even technically waterfowl. But here, if it swims or dives and has feathers we call them Waterfowl.
Ducks – Mallard, Wood Duck, Teal, Canvasback
Geese – Canada Goose, Snow Goose, Brant
Swans – Mute Swan, Trumpeter Swan, Tundra Swan
Loons – Common Loon
Grebes – Pied-billed Grebe, Western Grebe
Cormorants – Double-crested Cormorant
Mergansers – Common and Hooded Merganser
Coots – American Coot (looks like a duck but isn’t)
Moorhens/Gallinules – Common Gallinule
