We bought ourselves a small class C Motor home and plan to do short, 3 or 4 night photo excursions. We have Solar so we can boon dock. So, about once a month we are planning to go on safari. We will be posting our thoughts about our life, from photography and our adventures there to living in a retirement community on a golf course. Stay tuned.

Salt River Excursion
Yesterday, Tom and I bundled Miracle into the car and headed out with grand plans to explore far more than we ultimately did. Our real mission, though, was to scout access points along the Salt River so we can return with the RV, boondock, and hopefully photograph the wild horses. We skipped Phoenix and took the back way through Peyton, feeling both practical and pleasantly off grid. Our first stop was Saguaro Lake. During our visit last October, we discovered where the Salt

Sky Crock: A Journey Through Nature's Beauty
The Enigmatic Sky Crock Sky Crock is an ancient and lonely being. He has a reputation for sudden anger that, although unintentional, destroys any life he happens upon. One evening, he barely caught himself before automatically roasting a small bird as it landed on a barren tree, previously singed by the Crock’s breath. Excited, he snapped his mouth shut even though he wanted to say hello. The bird, unaware of the impending danger, sang the old Crock a lovely melody. This swee

Embracing the Slow Moments Everyone said clouds were fast and wild—racing storms and crashing thunder. But Snuffy was different. He preferred slow spirals and soft turns, meandering across the sky like he had all the time in the world. “Why rush?” he whispered. “The view is better when you glide.” On this beautiful afternoon, Snuffy felt quite proud of his fluffy self. He looked below and thought, Maybe today I’ll inspire someone to slow down, too. The Art of Nature Photograp

Watson Lake
C J and I drove over to Watson Lake. It is a very picturesque area with granite dells jutting out of the lake making for otherworldly vistas. C J is always looking for exciting landscape and cloud vistas. Me, I look for birds. I got both. If you look real close there is a bird, a cormorant, center right.
