Getting out there

Perhaps the best thing about photography is that you have to get out there. With the exception of studio photography, to get the shot you have to go to where the action is. For us that means hiking along river banks and lake shorelines. It means mountain trails and city parks. It means fresh air and the company of trees. For this old tree hugger, that is where I find my connections. That is where I can breathe deeply. I can become one with nature. The quiet speaks to me. The natural JOY returns. Life is good again.
